Православие совершенно не исповедует «доброе». Православие исповедует «единаго Господа Иисуса Христа, Сына Божия, Единороднаго, Иже от Отца рожденнаго прежде всех век; Света от Света, Бога истинна от Бога истинна, рожденна, несотворенна, единосущна Отцу, Имже вся быша. Нас ради человек и нашего ради спасения сшедшаго с небес и воплотившагося от Духа Свята и Марии Девы, и вочеловечшася. Распятаго же за ны при Понтийстем Пилате, и страдавша, и погребенна. И воскресшаго в третий день по Писанием. И возшедшаго на небеса, и седяща одесную Отца. И паки грядущаго со славою судити живым и мертвым, Егоже Царствию не будет конца» (Никео-Цареградский символ веры). Вся жизнь Церкви христоцентрична. Это не случайно. В отличии от других религий, в Православии личность основателя имеет самое непосредственное сотериологическое значение. Христос не учитель, не философ, не преподаватель нравственности. Христос – Бог, ставший человеком для того, чтобы человека обожествить. С этой целью Христос и основал одну Церковь: «Я создам Церковь Мою, и врата ада не одолеют ее» (Матф.16:18). Отождествлять Церковь с неким клубом по обучению нравственности и правилам хорошего тона в корне не верно. Церковь таинственно является Телом Христовым (см. Кол.1:24). Это не метафора, не аллегория. Это объективная реальность. И «мы, многие, составляем одно тело во Христе, а порознь один для другого члены» (Рим.12:5). И в своем Теле – Церкви Христос обещал быть с нами «во все дни до скончания века» (Матф.28:20). Законы нравственности и благочестия были известны задолго Христа. Вообще совесть это естественное мерило, данное Богом человеку для оценки человеком праведности своей жизни. Но быть членом Церкви, это значить быть частью единого Тела Христова, быть причастником спасительной благодати. Допустить существование нескольких Христов абсурдно. Поэтому Православная Церковь никогда не считала благодатным, а значит спасительным пребывание человека в других конфессиях, номинациях, сектах и т.д. «Если таинства действительны вне единой Христовой Церкви, если полнота благодатной церковной жизни не ограничивается пределами Церкви, тогда существует несколько церквей, тогда нужно опускать десятый член нашего Символа веры… Нет, истина единства Церкви исключает благодать священнодействия во внецерковных обществах» (В. Троицкий. "Очерки из истории догмата о Церкви"). Святитель Василий Великий так пишет о еретических сообществах: «... хотя начало отступления произошло чрез раскол, но отступившие от Церкви уже не имели на себе благодати Святаго Духа. Ибо оскудело преподание благодати, потому что пресеклось законное преемство… отторженные, соделавшись мирянинами, не имели власти ни крестити, ни рукополагати, и не могли преподать другим благодать Святаго Духа, от которой сами отпали. Почему приходящих от них к Церкви, яко крещенных мирянинами, древние повелевали вновь очищати истинным церковным крещением». Предписание отторгать от Церкви мертвые члены мы находим в Священном Писании: «если и церкви не послушает, то да будет он тебе, как язычник и мытарь» (Матф.18:17). При этом важно понять, что отторжение еретика происходит не извне. Еретик сам себя отторгает от Церкви. «Еретика, после первого и второго вразумления, отвращайся, зная, что таковой развратился и грешит, будучи самоосужден» (Тит.3:10,11).

03/13/2020: On Friday in the evening, we had the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts together with the clergy and members community of St Sebastian of Carson City and the community of St Andrew the First-Called of Reno. The service took place in the Church of St Andrew the First-Called in Reno.

03/08/2020: On the Sunday of the Triumph of Orthodoxy, our community served Liturgy with the Clergy and Members of the Carson City community of St Sebastian and Reno’s community of St Andrew the First-Called. After the Liturgy we had the ceremony for the Triumph of Orthodoxy after which the Rector of our church Fr. Andrii and our guests Fr. James and Fr. John exchanged warm complimentary words. In this way, we thank the Sisterhood of our parish and the volunteers for their help in organizing for this feast day.

02/22/2020: At our parish, we had our Maslenitsa celebration. To all of our participants, we offered Blini (Russian pancakes) with traditional stuffing, sour cream, red caviar, and fish. This event was organized with the efforts of the Sisterhood of the parish and volunteers. To the head Senior Sister Galina Roscha and to all of the volunteers and participants, we express our immense gratitude!
